Pax Americana by Alt-Reality Pax Americana by Alt-Reality
The source of this map comes from a successful Civil War, in which the Confederates rise to equal power with their former brethren. Here we see the Confederate States of America during a time of relative peace, which will last for a little under a decade.

Part of the fictional Confederate States of America was Spanish colonies and covers most of Mexico and the south of United States. The official languages of the fictional Confederates States of America could be English and Spanish.

Possibly, but knowing the attitudes of the racial "superiority" of Anglos, the Spanish language might be denied official status, even if it were spoken by a decent number of the population.

Have you ever read Bring The Jubilee?  It is an alternate history novel about what the world would have looked like if the South won the Civil war.  One thing in the book is that they invade central and south america and become a huge colonial power, similar to what you have here.

Nice work!

Beautiful map but Texas wouldn't be broken up after the Civil War. It just wouldn't have happened. The Confederacy Broke away advocating state's rights. It would entirely violate Texas' right as a state to be broken up by the Federal Government and there is no way they would break themselves up, they have the potential to be the most powerful state in the Confederacy after Virginia.

Technically Texas had and sill has the right to split into as many as five separate states

But why would they want to? They're more powerful as one and they'd easily become the most powerful and influential Confederate State.

Five states would give Texas that many more senators and such and since it would seem likely the Texan states will work in pursuit of common goals interest it would be a very powerful lobby and such.

Maybe the Mexican-American went diffrently in this time line. And the USA was forced to give part of Texas back to Mexico. And the CSA reconqured it.

Even if that were the case Texas would want back the territories it perceived as historically Texan.
