I thought that I'd just point out that the city of Puntarenas, Costa Rica, for which the Province of Puntarenas is named after, is located in northwestern Costa Rica, rather than southwestern Costa Rica, so Puntarenas isn't within your province of Puntarenas.

I'm curious--has there been a Civil War in this version of history? I noticed how Virginia is divided. What does "VD" stand for?

And a great map!

i will say this in a good way, as constructive as i can, that country is not named columbia, is named ColOmbia, because in spanish Christopher Columbus, is named Cristobal Colon, so it is Colombia, probably one of the most important countries in latin america, after Brazil.

One question AR, in this time line's future, who would eventually get Alaska?

I picture that for this one, Alaskya may stay Russian for the near future.

Very attractive map in style. My main questions are about Canada; why is Loyalist Canada separate to the Dominion of Canada, why is there that really too-convergent Alberta border (I know part of it is determined by mountains, but still), and also I don't think those two regions would have "Canada" in the name if I'm reading the times of the POD right.

Regarding the split between Loyalist and Dominionist Canada: Think of the Dominion as in more of a personal union with Britain, while the Loyalists are more autonomous though still, well, loyal.

The reason there are three Canadas is due to the Republic. After it revolted and became completely autonomous (with a little help from their allies to the south), the other two regions wanted to maintain their true previous identity. The split resulted from their differing opinions regarding the Crown.

I like it, as usual, but two questions:

First, you have Norte California, Media California, and... South California? If the northerly ones that are usually ours have Spanish names, why doesn't the territory? Why not leave it as Baja California? Though I would have expected Norte to be Alto.

Also, why'd the Brits get away with making Yucatan a protectorate? In reality at one point they considered/did revolt and consider joining the US, which I think you know (going from some of your other maps). So, what, just trying to preserve as much of their state's independence as possible?

I like this map, not because of the massive Canadas (okay, maybe in part because of) but because of the interesting silhouette it gives the United States, similar, but farther south.

I counted and there are 45 states in the US. Is what's left Mexico an American puppet state due to its blue outline?

The legend says "Europe and environs" although it should probably say "North America and environs".

I think the city names could be slightly larger, because it's very difficult to read them now.

Other than that, it's great, as usual :)
